“mind my back” pratically literal lol.

  • They said pretty clearly that she was fixed to the floor and unable to move until the mobile phone rang after everyone left. Derren has shown in other shows that he can command people to remain “stuck” in one place. It’s also obvious that the actors were not getting very close to her to let them grab them.

  • How would you know if it was a natural reaction to touch ur dead body??? have you ever been in that situation? she was probs too shocked to move,i know i would be…

  • cryz8210 says:

i would just think “ohh shit i guess im dead damn”

  • rapasu says:

come on , this must be fake , why ? because the girl didn’t touch anything around her. i mean if you thaught your dead , wouldn’t you try to feel objects around you , maybe smack the officer in the head for not listening to you or something ? in such a case the girl needed a proof and naturally touch something around her besides the car, it would be very normal to touch her “dead body” this would be a natural reaction.. all in all FAKE

    I would crap my pants!..
Liked the “WTF is gooing on ?!?”

  • that is just unbelievably creepy

  • alchemitone says:

    wow, these guys are assholes!

  • AthynKronos says:

If I was in that situation I would have just went up and given one of those guys a cuff to the head. That would probably tell you pretty quickly in you were still alive or not.

  • Mugsi says:

    Big hairy American bloke, lol

  • that was a very good trick but horrible i hate to have someone play a trick like that on me

  • mcsouthors says:

If I was her…I’d reach out and slap someone…someone did walk close enough…

It was more likely that if the show went on for longer than 5 min time frame, a multiple personality fracture was rather likely, as a coping mechanism. Nothing that groovy about it, for sure.

If you’d like to learn how to OOB, an accident, real or fake, would be a last thing that I’d recommend. When I get a chance, may take a week, I’ll write about her experience in more detail, compare with OOB, explain how-to, post it somewhere and provide a pointer here in the thread.

  • holugu says:

In other words, there was not really anything enlightening there, and if you think real OOB would bring some enlightement, I can assure you that it is a bit overrated, groovy, but not that special. In her case, her experience consisted of fright and frustration, mostly. The purpose was to teach her a lesson. There was a little chance that OOB may be actually triggered during the even.

  • holugu says:

I see that my post did not convey what I was trying to elucidate. ;-)
Ok, in a shorthand, you are on a wrong track. Her OOB was as fake as a 3 dollar bill. In some way, she did suspect something’s not right, as can be documented by her rapid repetition of acceptance and denial. She probably never had an OOB, so there was nothing to compare with. But there were aspects that did leave a lot of room for doubts. If I were to design the event, I’d be more thorough with certain details.

i meant the whole, being tricked into thinking your outside of your own body. I know its just an illusion

  • holugu says:

Ya’ kidding, right? Her experience is nothing more than a confusion. You mean that you’d like to be in an accident for real? Well, chances are you could have an NDE experience, and it could be enlightening… or not, but not sure you would be so keen on it if your accident resulted, for instance, in a permanent paralysis of your lower extremities. Just enjoy the time that is given to you, you’ll find out what it is like when your time comes. ;-)

  • holugu says:

    Correction: “oh god, oh god”

  • holugu says:

One thing is entirely missing form the show. The spa treatment not only involved the mask, but no doubt a quick induction with several posthypnotic suggestions that took care of the important aspects of the incident–going into deep hypnosis upon the funny phone sound and the immobility of her legs during the “accident” episode. That part may have been actually planted just before “accident”, but I suspect that it has been already introduced at the parlor.

  • holugu says:

Also she could reflect on herself going through fear, uncertainity and denial in a fast paced sequence, ending with a beginning of acceptance as her apparent invisibility convinced her that her physical sensations may be illusory. The part when she says “Oh my god, oh my god”, is that moment, even though there was a degree of it when she said “Mind my back”.

  • holugu says:

Pity that the part of the clip at the beginning got chopped off by editing. She’s a psychologist, which is a fact that I consider particularly spicy in the context. Derren is simply brilliant and played her like Stradivarius violin, knowing that she no doubt had some exposure to OOB and NDE concepts.

  • holugu says:

She did not believe that it would do her any good and yet she was afraid to confirm her presumed status–by her arm going through someone’s body as it was never there. Her reaction has two components, one natural (trust me on that) and another culturally conditioned. She could have been a skeptical atheist, but the reaction would be uncannily similar.

    Profound mindfcuk.

  • stopmotion3 says:

i think they were close enough for her to tap them…maybe she was 2 scared???

  • AfghansWorld says:

mind my back, hahaha hahahaha very classic lol

  • AfghansWorld says:
