Well It was both of there fault one came up one went down. Not a very bad crash .
the bad ones are when someone hits a wall head on.
With this wreck, when I saw it live on TV I was more scared for Scott Dixon. Dario didn’t deal with any sudden stops, but I originally thought that Dixon hit his head on Dario’s flipping car. Thank God he spun last minute. Man, Foyt IV really locked them up when he saw Dario flying.
Where Franchitti came close to certain death in this accident, is when his car was upside down and the nose of the oncoming car almost drilled him literally right in the head. Luckily, his car rotated just enough by the time the nose of the car reached him, that the car hit Franchitti’s car, instead of his head.
If it was in the 70s Franchitti would of been dead or hert very badly.

I used to be a Champ Car fan (I can’t remember what it was called at the time) until Greg Moore lost his life. I couldn’t watch open wheel racing after that. I hope the driver of the car that went airborne was OK.
IRL sucks. It’s open wheel NASCRAP, but a bit faster. Oh, did I mention IRL SUCKS!!!! Who cares what happened.
Hmm… well Weldon went down very much so it was his fault. Offcourse it’s a racing incident but 75% of racing incidents are costs because of one racers fault
